My “currently reading” pile is a taste of what you’ll find on this blog.   I am starting this blog to keep track of my thoughts, writing, and research about the more academic topics I'm interested in. At the moment, these are: 19th-century British history, particularly: The Franklin Expedition, 1845-1848 (portrayed in AMC’s 2018 series The Terror ) Queer culture, on land and at sea Medieval literature, particularly: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight , a 14th-century poem (which inspired the 2021 film The Green Knight) Anything and everything having to do with King Arthur and his court (Arthuriana) If you're curious about what else I get up to, my personal blog is where I post about everything else, from book reviews (fiction) to my adventures with baking sourdough during the pandemic.
